IELTS Speaking Tips


Follow these speaking tips to score good bands:

Tip 1#   Keep it simple and clear-

What ever the topic is try to speak it clearly with fluency and simple so that the examiner understands what your trying to convey him.

Tip 2#   Do not get nervous-

Before entering the room take a deep breath ,relax and be confident. No matter what happens do not get nervous or get panic, by doing so it will affect your next questions.
Tip 3#  Keep on talking-
Keep on talking, do not stop own your unless the examiner ask you the next question or says to stop. Speaks more than the examiner
Tip 4# Paraphrase the question-
If the examiner ask you a question and you know you can immediately paraphrase the question then you can do i.e saying the same meaning in other words.
Tip 5 # Use of idioms-
The speaking examiner is looking for you to go beyond his thinking or English books, he is looking for you to use some real world example or idioms which will impress them.                                                         Idioms like-    
Actions speak louder than words (what someone actually does means more than what they say they will do.)
Cry over spilt milk (being upset over something that has already happened and cannot be changed)
Tip 6#   Make your answer-
Do not learn the answer as given is the books or taught, examiner is used to of the answers and want some new answers. So prepare your brain before going to the test and try make your own ideas and answer.
Tip7 #   Speak more and more English-
Try to communicate in English with every one where ever you are so that it improves your speaking.
Tip8 #  Stand before a mirror or record yourself-
The question asked by the examiners are predicted so prepare yourself. If you hesitate to speak with some one stand before the mirror and speak or record yourself and listen to it latter. Both this will let you know your mistakes so that you can improve them.
